Minor's Commercial Carpet Maintenance (MCCM) is a carpet cleaning company that specialized in commercial carpet maintenance programs.
However, as with most items an evolution takes place. In MCCM’s case a new type of Business Plan was developed. A second company was established: Minor’s Commercial Cleaning Maintenance Inc. The idea of having two companies that without loss of specialty offer collectively the better janitorial service has separated us from rest.
Simple put we offer a different type of Business Model over traditional janitorial services. It has worked out extremely well. References are given upon request.
It takes more than just a Plan to create a working model. It takes good people, the correct equipment, and proper training. The following is part of our Business Model.
Employees
Starting wage for our employees is $10.00. (The average janitorial wage in Florida is minimum wage - $6.67 per hour.)
Employees receive free health insurance with 100% coverage - a PPO.
Employees receive one week’s paid vacation.
Employees receive 5 personal days.
Employees receive paid holidays.
Employees have background and foreground check per the Department of Defense.
Employees are U.S. citizens (no green cards allowed.) This is a requirement of the Department of Defense. (This is due to the contract we have with a Defense Contractor.)
Equipment
For this example we will list the equipment we have in a building of 250,000 square feet.
All Normal Janitorial Equipment- each employee has there own equipment. i.e. maid carts, vacuum cleaners etc..
5- Wide Area Vacuums--30". One for each floor.
4-14"/12"" Uprights (These are not carpet sweepers, all vacuums filter into the HEPA range.)
We utilize the Hillyard CCAP Program and Materials. As such in the area of general janitorial all employees are trained by Professional Trainers. Carpet cleaning is taught by an IICRC Certified Master Cleaner.
Do we cost more? Yes. Do we make more money on a company than their current janitorial company? No we don’t. With the remuneration paid to our employees plus our Building Supervisor(s) are non-working and with a “Site” Supervisor who oversees all buildings the vast majority of the monies paid to us by an account are returned to that account in an unprecedented quality of service not seen before in this industry.
We have no desire to create a monster janitorial / carpet maintenance company(s). Our goal is to a treat employees with respect, give them a living wage & benefits, give our customers the best service and one day retire and go off into the cotton pickin’ sunset.
Thank you for taking your time in stopping by. We hope that when the time comes to change service you will give MCCM your consideration.
